South Africa shuts refugee camp

The BBC, Voice of America and other news organizations are reporting South Africa has shut a refugee camp for Zimbabweans in the town of Musina. Many of the refugees were seeking asylum in South Africa after fleeing a cholera outbreak and political instability in their home country.

Actor Matt Damon, who toured the camp just days ago, told BBC’s Newshour: “They arrive to live in these conditions that are really sub-human, they’re not permitted to put up any permanent structures.
